We believe:

  • ... that all we do must be undergirded with continuous and fervent prayer. (Romans 12:12; James 5:16)
  • ... that the presence of the Holy Spirit is given to all who believe and that we need to seek and follow the leading and guidance of the Spirit. (Mark 4:18-19; Luke 2:48; Acts 2:17-21)
  • ... that regular worship to glorify God and celebrate God's love and presence is essential for every believer. (Matthew 4:10; Revelation 5:11-14 )
  • ... that excellence honors God and inspires people. (Colossians 3:17)
  • ... that we are a part of a covenant community and that we are accountable to God and to each other. (Jeremiah 31:33; Matthew 7:21)
  • ... that we are one body in Christ, and all are welcome, and that loving relationships are the norm in all we do. (Matthew 22:39; John 12:12; Romans 5:8)
  • ... that the Holy Spirit gifts us for leadership and service and that we need to use these gifts to serve and honor God and bring forth fruit. (Romans 12:6-8; Galatians 5:22-23)
  • ... that the church is to serve the world and that its mission must include addressing social issues and needs. (Acts 6:1-7)
  • ... that children and youth, no less than adults, are important to God's kingdom and to the church. (Matthew 18:1-6; Mark 10:13-16)
  • ... that the Bible is God's written word for us today and that its teaching leads to the development of personal, spiritual gifts and a mature, strong faith. (I Corinthians
    3:15-17; Nehemiah 4:12)
